Staffers at the Department of Energy's (DOE) international climate office have been asked to stop using the phrases "climate change," "emissions reduction" and "Paris Agreement," Politico reported Wednesday.

Oh Politco... you non-partisan publication you..

quote:

A DOE spokeswoman told Politico that "no words or phrases have been banned" within the office or the department as a whole.

"We have definitively not received anything on banned words, not even orally," a State Department official told Politico. "But people are doing a lot of reading into tea leaves. People are taking their own initiatives to not use certain words based on hints from transition people. Everyone is encouraged to finding different ways of talking about things. There's a sense that you'd better find a way to delink" from the previous administration's talking points.

Well a state department employee is irrelevant to the Energy department.

A supervisor at the Energy Department's international climate office told staff this week not to use the phrases "climate change," "emissions reduction" or "Paris Agreement" in written memos, briefings or other written communication, sources have told POLITICO.
I wonder if this is just a case of a supervisor abusing his/her authority.

Sounds like they were "encouraged" not to use their phrases. Did the article ever say they were banned? It does sound like a threat though.

. The sad part about this is that as outrageous as that may be, it wouldn't surprise anymore if that happened. It also wouldn't surprise me anymore to see people defend it either

I need to help the Progs/Dims find a word or phrase that is the end all be all for their crazy arse environmental religion......., I think "Anthropogenic Carnage" will cover any situation where man is the culprit for whatever BS they dream up.

Reminds me of when the Klu Klux Klan stopped calling themselves that and just started using "Democrat".

That would be my guess. I don't think Pruitt is a GW denier, just an AGW denier.

MSM guidelines for covering administrations

Obama banning radical Islamic terrorist is good and try to fit in peace loving Muslims or religion of peace. If forced to use phrase incorporate Crusades, Crusaders, or religious intolerance.

Trump banning climate change is bad try to force in scientific consensus, science deniers, or dirty air and water.

you mean like not calling Muslim terrorists "Muslim terrorists" was never questioned by the MSM or ay lib anywhere?

The sad part is when libs bitch about something like this they seem oblivious to what they did themselves.
