So I am watching and I get Asad is bad, but does it mean these soccer players are pro ISIS?

ESPN is showing a piece on Syrian Soccer players who have escaped. Basically they are against Asad.

I am trying to understand the civil war.

ESPN didn't really cover that

Just because you are against one thing doesn't mean you are for the other. We are against Assad and ISIS

Agreed what I am trying to understand. All I know is Asad vs ISIS

Personally I would rather them be Iran and mostly safe

Well it started as the people trying to top a tyrant, then it became a proxy war between countries and ISIS just kind of moved in while the country is unstable. The war against ISIs is totally separate than the disagreement with the government. The Syrians just want their country without a tyrant. They don't want ISIS
