I am all for people donating, but this is getting out of control. Hopefully the woman is honorable and will only take the $$$ needed to make her whole and donate the rest to other business who were destroyed.

Since her appearance on FOX 2 News on Tuesday, November 25th, two Go Fund Me accounts have been created. In less than 24 hours, over $100,000 was donated to Ms. DuBose to help with repairs.

In the next chapter, she refuses to bake a gay wedding cake and the gays shut her down in a perfect example of the social justice life cycle.

Yup, amazing what people will do to help others without the govt being involved.

But again, I hope she is honorable, because her original Fund Me page was only asking for 25k or 35k... Don't remember which one it was.

Would be interesting to know the ethnic breakdown of the donors.

You can see profile pictures on go fund me... That is, if they have one. Of the pictures you can see, nearly all of them are white.

Saw that somewhere in print yesterday but have yet to hear the media, including FOX, say it.

Good move by people donating to her.

I honestly think its irrelevant... I mean, there are no doubt blacks donating to the cause to. But it def shuts down the racial narrative from the media.

there was a discussion around here a few days ago where people were saying its almost impossible to have an insurance policy that covers riot damage, but I don't know how accurate that is

Exactly why I'm saying that if she was initially asking for 25k and now has 8 times what she needed, she better donate that to someone else.

She likely didn't own the building, was renting... If she didn't have renters insurance to cover the contents, 25k seems reasonable. Throw in another 10-20k for missed sales while rebuilding and call it a day.

So you are telling someone what to do with the money they get through donations...

Wow.
