So can we finally just do away with the myth that Obama is president of all the people? He's not. He uses every tool of the Federal Government to harass his opponents, and to further his own personal agenda. He's the most unworthy man to ever serve in the office.

Maybe you should look up his comments on this case

Who's comments?

Wanna bet that there will be no civil rights charges filed?

You don't have to be the police to charged with violating someone's civil rights.

since we are talking about the DOJ, that would be Eric Holder.

If Zimmerman is guilty...there will be no charges. Acquittal, there will be charges.

You don't have to be a cop for DOJ to claim that you violated someone's civil rights.

There was some speculation after OJ's acquittal that DOJ would file charges that OJ violated Ron & Nicole's civil rights. They opted not to touch that one.

How is anyone going to notice these people not working when they don't have jobs in the first place?

I really hope this isn't true. If it is, something drastic needs to happen.

"Something drastic"...IS happening, TL. Very slowly, and erosion of Constitutional rights to that of the Collective.

Join the Tea Party, if you think it can be settled through a political process. Doubt that it can; that's why I'm not a member.

They are going to crash the dollar by attempting to maintain unsustainable government subsidies...then the reboot. Will be interesting from a historical perspective; as long as the pain is manageable.

Attorney General Eric Holder called the death of Trayvon Martin a “pain no parent should have to endure,” and said that the Justice Department has a high bar to cross to bring a federal hate crime case against George Zimmerman.

“For a federal hate crime, we have to prove the highest standard in the law it is something that was reckless, that was negligent,” Holder said at a news conference. “We have to show that there was a specific intent to do the crime with the requisite state of mind.”

A criminal civil rights violation can occur with:

a. hate crimes;

b. migrant worker exploitation;

c. law enforcement misconduct;

d. religious interference or property damage;

e. health care access interference, such as phone threat or bombing; and

f. slavery rings

Which one would they charge him with?

The only comments I had heard people talk about on this board were those of Obama. I misread an earlier post thinking that those might have been what folks were referring to. Just wanted some clarification. Try not to be such an a-hole. I'm not the judge trying to ruin your day by "cheating" for the prosecution in your heroes murder case.

No there won't.

My guess is that if they do it, they'd try to put it under hate crimes.

My understanding of DOJ civil rights prosecutions like these are that they are basically a legal dodge on the double jeopardy clause. For example, if I kill you and get acquitted in a high profile case, DOJ (if they see fit) can get around double jeopardy by charging me with violating your civil rights by depriving you of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness since murder is out the window.

Tasks included:

Working “marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain”;

Providing “support for protest deployment in Florida”;

Providing “technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31”;

Providing “technical assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations planned in Sanford.”
To be fair, none of these partial quotes suggest the CRS was organizing these protests outright. I'd reserve judgement without seeing the original docs. The partial quotes provided could easily be innocuous.

I'd prefer a lighter. I've had my eye on a big arse dumpster since the trial began.

If this allegation proves to be true, and really who thinks it isn't after the IRS stuff, Fast and Furious, the Benghazi fairy tale, etc.; it reminds me of the kind of stuff the Nazis cooked up to blame the Jews, the Commies, or the Poles or whomever they were after.

This is nothing but stirring the pot to pit one group of citizens against another for political reasons. To see this in the USA now is sickening.

"a" most likely. If they can somehow stretch "neighborhood watch captain" into "law enforcement", then add "c".
