I have never seen an issue with it. Every team we play at away games does the same.

The only people who could possibly have a problem with this are disgusting marxist agitators.

SCOTUS has specifically held that a unified led prayer is violation of establishment clause at HS FB games, so if they do it's illegal, although they still do it in MS too at some places. Anthem should be fine.

Well central louisiana obviously has no problem with it.

Not saying that it wouldn't happen. It happens in rural MS too, mainly because no attorney in the bible belt is going to be the guy to take that case; however, if someone did sue, unified prayer at football games is in direct violation of a SCOTUS case out of TX.
Edit: Should clarify, this is limited to public schools.

Yep, I went to a Catholic high school, so of course we did prayer before the anthem, soemtimes even led by Bishop Muench himself. But even a lot of the public schools we played had a short prayer before the game.
Technically, that's illegal, but good luck enforcing that in South Louisiana.

The school I teach at prays and sings the national anthem at every home football game.
We also say the pledge of allegiance every morning.

That's our society though. Just follow the laws/rules that are convenient for you. Like when reading the Bible.

No prayer (nor should they), but they play the national anthem.
Recently refereed a soccer game at my old high school. They played the national anthem before the game. Huge waste of time.

Yes, and Yes
We also had paddlings, kids respected their teachers and principle, and very few people getting out of line, and if and when they did, there was a price to pay for it.
No worries though America. If you hammer hard enough the square peg will eventually fit in the round hole.

Pregame prayer + anthem while I was in high school, but it wasn't more than two years after I'd graduated that they'd changed it to a moment of silence + anthem. Public school in Ouachita Parish.
