Yes or no.
Indicators seem to be pointing that direction. Of course the media will give the assist... "doesnt mean she is guilty of anything!!! He had to pardon her to shield her from the inevitable right wing witch hunt!!!"

honest question, can you pardon someone who hasn't been convicted of anything?

Depends on how much she pays him to.

Yes.
See Ford's pardon of Nixon

I believe a lot of the anti-Trump stuff is not only designed to weaken his agenda, but also to provide cover for an Obama pardon.
He'll be "forced" into protecting Hillary from the big, bad, vindictive Trump.

Not unless she has the goods on him.
Obama cares more about his legacy, as fricked up as it is.
Pardoning her will forever tarnish his self glorified image. He won't risk that unless he has to.
Y'all don't forget, he really hates her arse as much as most of us do.

Being an idiot while running a shitty campaign and not taking the advice of 2 two term presidents isn't a criminal offense but it probably should be.

Ford pardon Nixon when he wasn't even charged with a crime.
Preemptive blanket pardons is a presidential power.

Obama knew about Hillary's illegal server and even exchanged emails using it. He has skin in the game.
The only reason Obama will pardon Hillary if he really thinks Trump will a special prosecutor go after Hillary.

The Nixon analogy doesn't work.
Nixon being impeached was a foregone conclusion. As matter of FACT on July 27, 1974, the House Judiciary Committee voted 27–11 to recommend the first article of impeachment against Nixon for obstruction of justice....this was prior to Nixon resigning so the impeachment process already started.

He still might but I don't think he actually likes her. He was stumping for her for his own legacy's sake, but now that his legacy is going in the toilet with Trump moving in, there's no reason for him to do anything good for Hillary.
That being said, if he does pardon Hillary, I would think that means the investigation would lead right back to him and that he would be protecting himself, not her.

Of course it works. All of that is irrelevant. The question was, can you pardon someone who has never been convicted. Nixon was never convicted. Period. Impeachment is removal from office...not conviction in a court of law. You can say all day that Nixon would have been convicted in a criminal court, but that doesn't make it so...not in our system where you only need one dumbass on a jury.

And I answered that....the answer is yes.

No it isn't; impeachment is an enumerated power of the legislature that allows formal charges to be brought against a civil officer of government for crimes alleged to have been committed. Clinton was impeached by not removed from office.
