Do you think many fans heeded president Trump's request to boycott the NFL today?

When will the rating for this week come out?

My guess is the ratings will be the lowest they've been since the strike In the 80s.

I think most people that already had tickets went. Be interesting to watch the rest of the season play out. I do think it hurt today's ratings but we'll have to wait and see.

I don't know if people didn't watch because of Trump but the NFL is dying. It's just a shitty product that less and less people are interested in. And with the NFL going all in on the concussion thing a few years ago less and less mommies are putting their kids in pee wee football. It's a dying sport. Roger Goodell might be the worst PR person on the planet and he's trying to go up against the best. The NFL is the hands down loser here.

Is that the sole criteria for ratings?

What about viewers?

I don't think ratings will have moved much at all.

Because there were probably a lot of curiosity seekers tuning in to see what would happen.

I do think that you'll see major declines in the next few weeks.

Attendance in the stadiums for this week was probably completely unchanged. People spend a lot of money on tickets and they aren't just going to not use them. They may not buy more tickets though.

Honestly, I doubt he cares. He's getting paid close to $50MM per season and he will be living on easy street long before the NFL dies.

Agree. Ratings even include people that turned on for the first 10 minutes and then turned off.

I do think you will see a drop next week. The media will not let this die and players are dumb enough to tweet about it all week.

I didn't watch even a minute. But not because of Trump.

They track that shite too. Now if ratings for the first ten minutes were up or stayed the same the PR people will be able to tell you that ratings went up saying "so and so many people tuned into the NFL this Sunday." But behind the scenes where the money is really made they know that they're pocket books are going to start hurting soon.

I think the ratings will be down some this week but next week will see the bigger drop . Some fans may not even know what trump said till they seen all of the players kneeling.

Monday night will be interesting to see if any cowboys kneel. Rumor is he told his players and coaches if they kneel then their fired.

Definitely. And those numbers never reach the public. You know good and well they are a bit freaked out right now.

I think ratings will be OK this week. Everyone wants to watch a train wreck.

But Americans will grow tired of it and ratings will continue to slide.

Did he actually call for a boycott? I thought he only mentioned that the football players should be standing?
