Yes. I think on average stupid people are much happier than intelligent people. As they say "ignorance is bliss".

It depends. A Yankee friend of mine insisted on trying to make gumbo when he found out I was Cajun. He refused any tips from me. It had no roux at all and Oscar Mayer wieners instead of sausage. Ignorance was total disaster.

The "ignorance is bliss" observation doesn't have anything to do with intelligence. It refers to the ability to ignore any facts that bring ones existing view into question. The ability to be ignore-ant..to ignore that which doesn't fit. Very intelligent people can be ignorant...lefties, liberals, useful idiots probably make up the largest demographic. When you can ignore anything that questions your preconceived notions you find yourself in the "blissful" state of always being right.
