The president appears to have no commitment to an explicit strategy for getting a health-care bill to his desk, only a desire for victory and limited patience for the legislative process. He also has no fixed views on the substance of health-care reform, having made contradictory statements about the topic throughout his campaign and since.

opinion piece at link points out that once upon a time Trump opposed Sen Majority Leader's stated intention to repeal ACA, and come up with replacement later.
Now that Trump's position, repeal AND replace, proved difficult to implement IRL, Trump changed his mind.

Not the president's responsibility to get any bill to his desk. That's the legislative branch's responsibility. It'd be great if everyone would learn that.

No one here will admit this.

But he has no plan for much of his agenda and certainly no patience with the process.

I will. Governance is a messy, difficult business. Forging consensus and agreeing to compromise. And he does not have the patience for it.

Similar to someone else I know.

And your boy Obama had even less desire to work through the process.

He doesn't give two shits about anything but his ego and a W in the win column. How the hell does he have time to tweet so much when there are so many things he could be busy doing trying to make better?

True. Never before has a president stated that he would achieve his agenda with "a pen and a phone."

Wait... this isn't about Obama?

This is such a stupid talking point. Just how long does it take to make four or five tweets? Less time than it takes to take a good shite.
