You have to admit, it's a shame that the show has devolved to the point where they run their safe-skits by the DNC before approval to make sure that anything that might make you laugh has been thoroughly scrubbed out. What made SNL great was that it was subversive. Now it's essentially a party organ, like the Establishment Court Jester.

Sans Sturgill Simpson, last night was one of the worst ten episodes in their entire history..and even Simpson's choice of songs not his best(should've went change of pace for one song from two similar jam bandish tunes)

I wouldn't say anyone is playing into HIS hands about a subject where anytime SNL makes a skit about him he plays directly into their hands by melting. This is ridiculous and you know it you just can't admit it. I know it's hard, but he's fallible, and this is embarrassing.

Yeah but a lot of people voted for him in spite of his petulant rhetoric too. We only have his words to judge him at this stage. Am I supposed to just look the other way and trust that someone who tweets the way he does is going to be an effective leader and bring the country together?
