I honestly couldn't care less that this nation did not qualify.

It's tough to feel patriotic over soccer.

If this was hockey or basketball, then yea I'd be melting.

To what end?

I have no specific knowledge, but I'd guess not qualifying has cost many of the players serious money. It certainly should cost Bruce Arena his job.

In the last World Cup, US players got about $76K for making the tournament. This round it probably exceeded $100K.
