Dems Love Twitter More than Anyone, Yet Attack Trumps Twitter THROUGH Twitter!

It dawned on me today that the left has relentlessly attacked Trump for his twitter usage; in fact, it's probably the most over-used joke in their repertoire, including being absolutely run into the ground on SNL and the like.
But they do it through Twitter! In fact, I guarantee liberals use Twitter more than anyone else. And their condemning of Trump's usage of Twitter through Twitter is so idiotic I can't even comprehend.
What am I missing?

Trump and the media are the only things keeping Twitter alive.
Normal everyday users are gone, all that's left are trolls, SJWs, and Black Twitter activists

I would quit twitter if I had ever had an account. The whole thing just seems retarded to me, though Trump is using their own weapon against them quite nicely.

Twitter allows Trump to send his message out to his constituents directly without being first filtered through the media lens. It allows Trump to drive the media narrative rather than the media driving it.
They don't like that. They want to comtrol the message, control the interpretation of the message, and drive the discussion.
A great allegory would be Martin Luther verses the Catholic Church. Before the reformation, the church refused to publish religious texts in any language but latin (or greek for eastern orthodox). They wanted everyone getting their interpretations from the same source so the message would be consistent. Martin Luther wanted the bible published and the mass read in the language of the people. That way, anyone could hear or read the word of god and interpret its meaning for themselves.
Trump is like Luther. He is giving the government's opinion directly to the people via twitter. The media is like the church. They want to filter the government's actions and opinions so that there is a concensus interpretation (see DNC talking points).
