(Stolen comment/idea from Wolf.)

It is an excellent question that I believe stifles this board in real discussion daily.

Myself and others have no problems calling out the Republicans.

Other than, you really don't like HRC and prefer Bernie Sanders...Can you in all intellectual honesty express any criticism about the democrats?

The DNC Chair-Perez has alienated any pro-lifers from becoming democrats and cursed and growled like a loon. The continued radical appeal will also alienate independents and the working class. Are you concerned about the democratic party? Are you really behind identity politics, SJW crap, BLM and race and cultural warfare that is the epitome of the democratic party?

No flaming please. Just discussion, if at all possible.

Progressive totalitarians have taken over the party. Should be easy to criticize them for freedom of speech, freedom of expression issues.

I'm a Democrat and all of the above needs to be reeled in and get back to the middle of the road. To extreme and alienates moderate voters (most Americans).

They only criticize them for not being left wing enough.

To be fair. The democrats think those that support Trump is cultish. They somehow fail to see it is a movement that all of DC needs the tables flipped over.

The democrats are never open to any compromise whatsoever; as they call Trump supporters nazis. (SEE:ANTIFA) It is a vicious circle of insanity that needs to stop somehow...

Democrats are so politically team oriented that the majority of them stand on the side and make excuses for shutting down free speech with violence because it's a conservative speaker. If they continue to ruled by coastal elites who don't know anything or care to know anything about the middle of the country, they will continue to radicalize and regionalize.

I agree and I rarely make these type of threads. But I read Wolf's comment in another thread to a dem prog poster and it occurred to me that this issue causes this board to stifle. It is a war and it is sick. Lake gave a thoughful response, maybe others will explain their reasoning as well?

This is a bullshite meme on here. I and the few other libs on here that exist have pretty much all criticized Dems when it is appropriate. I have voiced my concerns over the bathroom stuff in numerous threads for example.

What you are mistaking for a lack of critical commentary is actually that this board is 99% conservative and about 80% Trumpkin loyalists. The five or so regular lib posters here can't respond to every single thread so we tend to weigh in when you folks say something ridiculous or make some unfair critique of the left.

As far as new threads go, why would liberal posters start threads critiquing the left in a board that is 99% conservative? Don't you guys have that covered? There are far better intellectual environments for us to discuss the direction of the Democratic party than this.

In other words, the premise of this OP is full of shite. You folks control the level of discourse here by sheer numbers.

In the last election, who ran on the democrat side that was a true moderate that you could have supported? It is almost redundant to even ask; as it is obvious the establishment of both R's and D's- always pave the way for the candidate they want. This is why Trump resonated and won.

I just don't understand how some people cannot see the arrogant political establishment that is DC, very clearly now.

Damn man, it's appropriate every day but we don't see the level of criticism from yall that we see from those on the right about the right. You cannot honestly deny that statement.

What will it take for people to realize neither the republican nor democratic parties are fighting for their best interest. If members of both parties could realize this we could actually begin to fix this broken system that allows the rich to manipulate the way this country is ran.

ETA: Instead the system will have the two parties take two different political stances on trivial matters and create a divide among the people. Creating a constant distraction of what is really taking place.

Democrats vs Republicans will continue to fight like children all the while the government continues to become our ruler as opposed to an entity that works for the people.

From a lot of progressive posters I see criticism of this board in this manner. Seriously, go look at the post history of Cromulent-- it is nothing but flaming and c/o this board. Then we think in reply...no one has a gun to his head to read here.

Sorry, but I call BS on progressives discussing the direction of the Democratic party. Before Trump won, the republican establishment and the party was discussed and called out. I don't see democrats having this same discourse.

I see blame-everything-on-anything of why the democrats lost... Where are they saying that the party is stifled much too far left or is on the wrong course, I would be curious to read this discussion, please post the link..

I'm a Jim Webb kinda guy and we need to push moderates like him out front.

We need to get back to the "big tent" model where there is room for everybody and everybody is valued. The identity shite does not work.
