I have no love for the democrats, but their long term plan is so brilliant I'm forced to respect it. Don't get me wrong, it'll be disastrous, but I can respect the genius of it.

Obama is the perfect president to open the flood gates to the Latinos. He's facing minimal to zero backlash from the blacks, who will be harmed most by this new open border. It'll take the blacks two generations to figure out what hit them...if they ever figure it out at all. By then Latinos will be pushing 30-40% of the population.

Democrats are in process of trading a guaranteed 15% of the vote for upwards of 30%.....plus the blacks who will never figure things out and keep voting Dem.

The Republican Party is all but destroyed already, and they don't even realize it, as evidenced by some of their current positions....or at least by the way they communicate their positions.

I have no love for the way the Republicans handle things now but it's kind of hard to get a message out to the masses when the entire mainstream media structure works in collusion with the Democrat Party.

Democrats have to bring in a bunch of new voters to offset all the voters they'll be losing after Obama disastrous presidency is concluded.

I think much needs to be said of, rather than the brilliance of the long term of the dems, lack of a viable alternative provided by the republicans who seem to be seriously harmed by the fractions focusing on social issues rather than more pressing issues

Anti-American genius is something respectful only in nonAmericans.

Painful to say this but among the younger generation, social issues are most important.

No need to be an arse. I think you know exactly what I'm saying here.

Mostly I wish conservatives were as forward thinking....though not at the expense of abandoning conservative principles.

They could make much of these non issues by accepting/owning the issue and moving on. For example: If they came out in favor of states rights for pot legalization and the lowering of federal penalties of pot related crimes, they could attract many young voters as well as many minority voters who see many pot laws as discriminatory.

Yes but those issues fade in importance as they age and starting earning more money. Just read an article about millennials today in this regard. Problem is in Obama's economy people are declining to seek out employment at alarming rates.

You tell me. They vote over 90% democrat regardless of the candidate and regardless of how far they have "advanced" since the sixties.

I'm quite comfortable with who I am. I know I am not racist. I won't justify anything to anyone. That said...I realize how those comments might come across to some. But some things need to be said.

its not just a young person problem with the social issues.

there is also an issue of perceived anti-women for the GOP with many in the party in favor of the hobby lobby decision and for the overturn of roe vs wade.

this is not helping the party so the social issue problem for the right is exacerbated by alienating women, minorities, and young people.

So if you'd like a more direct answer....I'd say as a voting block, yes. Yes they are.

With that, I agree wholeheartedly. I don't post a lot, but I read on here a lot. Much respect for BHP regardless of what he may now think of me.

Not running on you or "being an arse"

The political conversation is conservative vs liberal. It is right vs left. It is democrat vs republican. It is virtually never "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

People are far too accepting of argument over achievement. Issa's bullshite repeated politicization of very serious issues is an example. HairyReed refusing to bring any House bill to the Senate floor for so much as discussion is another example.

Neither is working for the good of the country.

i rarely blame the consumer. the GOP has done little to help themselves. They could do several things to help themselves out like calling for the easing of pot laws. or nationally against gerrymandering. etc.
