No broadcast executive will be stupid enough so as to kill the cash cow these two bring to thier markets.

Unless you are WWL radio... I really don't know the story why Rush et al is no longer on WWL but apparently they thought Garland and local issues were strong enough to let Rush go.

WWL is pretty non-existent for me since Rush left unless for LSU/ Saints game. I don't even listen to WWL sports shows because of one particular
host.

And I agree Hannity schtick is way old and overdone. I may keep it on to listen to a guest here or there or for some huge breaking news.

Michael Savage, born Michael Alan Weiner, holds master's degrees from the University of Hawaii in medical botany and medical anthropology and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in nutritional ethnomedicine.

Bet he doesn't make Weiner jokes.

I've stopped listening to Hannity, even to the point of changing radio stations in my car if he's on when I start to drive somewhere.

He has gotten too boring. He never changes his script.

Hannity gets old real quick, his whole gimmick seems to be arguing, which has its place and can be interesting, but not as a steady diet.

Rush, on the other hand, is easily the greatest political analyst in the universe, one door closes and another opens. Levin is truthful and to the point but also a cranky bitch, but can drill down even further than Rush sometimes, but there is simply no equal to Rush. Blee dat.

It will be interesting to see if Rush mentions the article this morning. Show comes on in one hour.

It's hilarious how this is being framed. So ClearChannel distributes Rush and Hannity to its competitors in many markets. And they are tired of losing money to their competitors - that they are supplying the programming to!

CC's strategy is clear. Jack up he price so the Cumulus stations drop the syndication.

This is happening because CC needs Cumulus affiliates to drop (voluntarily) the show from its stations. If CC pulls the show, they are wide open to an anti-trust issue.

Of course the tards are trying to spin this like Cumulus no longer wants Rush Propaganda at its finest!

Haven't listened to him in years. Does Hannity still have the mandatory female caller that does not have an actual point?

re: Cumulus planning to drop Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity
exactly. My station in Jackson carried Rush for over 20 years. Was actually one of the first ones to carry him. Didn't matter. Last year CC decided to yank him off WJNT and put him on the 620 the Score in Jackson. He and Hannity both. All bout money. CC is doing this everywhere. THe only question is why they didn't do this ten or 15 years ago.

CC owns the rights to Jim Rome, Rush, Hannity, Art Bell, Drudge, Dr. Laura, Glenn Beck, and a bunch of others. A horizontal and Vertical monopoly.

They USED to own SFX entertainment. I have major problems with CC as they are a monopoly to some degree.

Makeup if the FCC. I'm sure they've made the appropriate payments to the board members. Is there any part of government more corrupt than the FCC ? I can't think of one.

That had nothing to do with it. They did it in Tampa over ten years ago. Was more of a business philosophy than anything. Now the internet is killing radio. They need the programming more.

Agreed. He and I are in agreement on many/most issues, but his delivery is the absolute worst.

He's so bad that I'll sometimes listen to libtard XM radio for shits and giggles. I like to know the enemy and really want to hear when one of them finally absolutely loses their shite on air.

I've seen this before in the past. When one station drops someone, another picks it up, no big loss. I'm tired of Hannity, very predictable, very negative, all anti-Obama all the time. Rush will talk about other things, Senate politics, the economy, news, etc. Levin is also negative all the time. Now Savage, Cuningham, Laura Ingrahm, others are welcome changes.

Cumulus stations aren't on iHeartRadio are they?

Don't discount the commission angle. But with two vacancies, and A very weak (acting) chairwoman... Clyborn isn't going after anyone. And there is a big difference in doing this is one (larger) market than across the country in non-competitive markets.

KEEL used to carry him at night. They've replaced him with Andy Dean.

businesses making business decisions.

I'm willing to bet Rush and Hannity's ratings are some of the highest in talk radio. I dont think either is hurting for ad revenue.

Regardless of what you think of them politically, the idea that they are somehow not money makers is hard to believe.
