I realize that but if people start feeling it in their pockets they won't be happy at all.
48% are going to vote Democratic no matter what. So long as they pay no taxes, they are going to continue to vote Democratic. Yes...that's up a point from Romney's now famous 47%. So not really that hard to pick up 3% from there.
Of course from a states standpoint, it's even worse.
California, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Hawaii, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Washington, Oregon New Mexico, Michigan and Minnesota are absolute locks for a Democratic candidate, no matter how bad they are. That isn't far from having enough electoral votes to win no matter what the rest do.
It really just boils down to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virgina. And if you haven't noticed, which I'm sure the Republican party hasn't, they Democrats have never stopped campaigning there.
