Conservatives are lashing out at the Republican-controlled Congress over the lack of progress on President Trump’s agenda.

One by one, conservative groups lined up to blame Congress — not the president — for the collapse of Senate Republicans’ effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare.

It's on them, not djt. Hopefully, voters will remember but it's a long time until the next election.

They deserve the brunt of the blame, but if we are going to call it Obamacare, then we have to admit that the leader of the executive branch shares some of the blame/credit in these things.

But I did find this to be an odd inclusion in the article:
quote:

“It’s shocking the amount of pushback he’s getting from his own party,” said Carl Higbie, a former spokesman for the pro-Trump Great America PAC
That's not exactly a person with a background that lends itself to criticism of Trump.

This makes so much sense.

I don't blame Trump. He's doing the same thing he did in the private sector to get stuff done except now he's up against people who have no incentive to work with him (at least they don't think so). We'll see how the mid-terms go.

true conservatives are more in tune with the truth, not a brag, not saying they understand it all, but they see through the fog a little better than moderates

btw, ever notice how the elitist have problems with Trump communicating with the people? rally or twitter, they have to put it down

Why cant it be on both?

Those congressmen did prattle on about repeal and the ACA for 7 years. Used the ACA and its repeal to get elected, some repeatedly, but it was always just repeal. Trump is the one that spouted off about repeal and replace, terrific plans and better coverage for less money. He hung replace around their necks and set the table to make something supposedly every R wanted into the epic failure that it was.

Congress is pathetic. The one thing that people have forgotten was not even a week after Trump won, he was busting his arse, talking to corporations like Carrier, Ford, Foxconn, etc. Had a lot in the works for jobs while Obama and the liberal media was busy working on sabotaging his transition. Spying, the Russian BS, his last little EO allowing all IC to share Intel and who knows what. All that work Trump did before his inauguration was lost because Obama is a bitch.

Well when the master negotiator and master persuader, and that agenda stalls, then what is the value of those negotiating and persuasion skills? Did he not use them?

But in reality, I don't blame him for not really pushing a crappy bill, but he shouldn't have acted like it was anything but a crappy bill. So again, he only gets the blame for not calling it what it was.

I do partially blame Trump. He keeps pushing the GOPe bullshite bills instead of taking the lead.
