Can't believe you aren't better off. Home values are up considerably. Are you a renter?

Stock market is up considerably since Obama took office. Guess you don't have money in the stocks?

Are you employed? Employment has fallen from 10.8% in October of 2009 to less than 5% today.

Stock Market Closing Prices - 1/20/09

Dow Jones Industrial Average ( DJIA ) Close - 7949.09 Down 332.13
Nasdaq Stock Market Close - 1440.86 Down 88.47
S&P 500 Close - 805.23 Down 44.89

Dow - Closed around 19,805
Nasdaq - Closed around 5,556
S&P 500 - Closed around 2272

Well, as everyone knows, the stock market exploded as soon as POTUS E Trump was elected. Not Obama's doing.

Not sure if you're serious. Markets have increased 5%-9% since 2016 presidential election. All major US indexes have increased over 100% since Obama took office.

Do you have to purchase health insurance? Your premiums and deductibles wipe all of those gains out.

I've had health insurance through my employer since 2003. Still have same coverage and doing fine. The year over year increases have gone up less, actually dropped for single people, for our 10k or so employees since 2013.

How about you? Has your rate gone up since you first enrolled? If so, what the first year you were covered under your current plan?

Y'know, I'm pretty moderate and mainstream, in fact I'm still registered as a Dem.

I haven't been able to stomach CNN for the past several months, it's just way, WAY too extreme.

That's what these idiots don't realize- they're driving people like me (white, working folks from a multi-generation Democrat family) away right now. I really don't get the thought process behind it, either- it's not like they are going to lose the extreme Left to the Republicans, if they move to the center. Outside of a few nut-jobs, NOBODY wants socialism, loss of freedom, or going after the Bill of Rights. I guess they severely overestimated my loyalty, and/or the amount of minority voters they can control with fear and hate.

Are you saying the major US stock indexes have not doubled since 1/20/09?

Interest rates have been extremely low and the debt has gone way up. It seems like everything is just another bubble.

And no. I have a home I bought in 2012 for 109k. Easily list for 180k and sell in a weekend. I've averaged 10% annual returns. Kind of embarrassed because I could have done better if I had put money in Vanguard. Making 17k more now than I did in 2010, which is over 20% increase in salary.

It's possible as we've seen. I think we'll see a sell off in equities market by summer. Those things happen. Do you think we'll see another 07-09 type of collapse?
