It would not matter if he came with a giant vacuum to dry up every drop of water there is and did all of the work himself, the media/left would not be pleased or report favorably. They would claim he dried up the drinking water of the poor minorities. It is all politics, all the time.

Actually it's because they did more to promote Donald Trump winning the nomination giving him 2 billion dollars in free coverage and that's because they thought he was the best candidate for Hillary to beat.
They're beyond pissed and apoplectic that gambit backfired spectacularly on them when Trump crashed their world down on them on the 8th and 9th of November 2016.
They did everything they could to elect Hillary Clinton including getting her a favorable opponent and nothing worked.
They're partly responsible for Trump and they know it and have acted accordingly since.
