Thats right.... he broke no laws. He physically harmed a few 13 year olds, but there is no crime. Just a video of girls screaming for him to stop.... and he doesn't.

quote:

Denver District Attorney’s Office announced Saturday that it will not file charges in the case in which East High School cheerleaders were forced into doing painful splits during practice.

Videos from the first week of cheer camp in June showed multiple cheerleaders being ordered to do splits and even physically forced into them by then-cheer coach Ozell Williams, causing injuries to one girl and forcing East’s principal and athletic director to step down.

Denver District Attorney Beth McCann said in a statement that after carefully examining the evidence in the case, she concluded that the evidence does not support the filing of criminal charges.

Yep.... purposefully forced kids into splits and caused injury

But innocent

Sure he was. The DA found him innocent of any laws being broken. But then again, most democrats are all about harming kids.

Splits are probably painful the first time as indicated by the girls around her in the video laughing because they most likely have experienced it. Injuries happen in training and though they do not go into detail it looks like nothing serious. This looks like it is being pushed by an overprotective mother looking for a payout. Sports requires athletes to do things that are physically demanding and uncomfortable. Sometimes practice causes an injury which it what happened here. The DA was correct not to file charges because that would open a flood gate for any parent to sue because their child got injured during practice.

The big problem with this journalism, is it's one sidedness. If that side is accurate fine, but not enough information is given to make an independent decision.

For example the article states "causing injuries to one girl". Sounds horrible. Makes one think torn muscle or ligament. Perhaps it means a broken bone. But it could also be a bruise or brush burn.

Sorry I will withhold my outrage until I have complete information. In the meantime, I'll have to trust the decision of the DA who was elected to serve all the people.

Uncharged people are not FOUND innocent; they are PRESUMED innocent. Shift your outrage into neutral, and do a little more fact gathering.

Once again, you are basing outrage on information not provided.

Nowhere in the linked article does it give the political party of the DA. You are probably correct. She is an elected official in a big city in a democratic leaning state, but this is still only supposition.

Finally, I am not a supporter of the DNC, but unless your talking abortion, claiming most democrats desire harm to children is asinine! This post is useless unsubstantiated garbage.

Wait, you can sue your coach for getting hurt during physical activity?

SOB I missed out when I was a kid.

If you can't do splits they have no business being cheerleaders.

I remember my football coach coming around while doing warmup stretches for the groin and hamstrings and pushing down on our shoulders to make sure we got a proper stretch. Yes it hurt some but kids have a tendency to not push the limits of pain in sports themselves unless coaches make them in order to get better

The single most ignorant statement I have ever read.

From a medical stand point, you are so very wrong. You just dont force a body into the splits in a session. You tear things. Which is what happened to 2 girls from that day. She had to go through rehab.

In this case yes. The school too.

Again, this isnt some hypothetical situation.

Coaches are there to make you better, nkt to physically hurt you. This is the equivalent of a coach forcing you to bench 400 pounds ay the age of 13 by literally spotting the weight off the bar and walking away while you scream you dont have it and its slammed into your chest.
