Checks and Balances Don't Matter Anymore

Because The Department of Homeland Security will do whatever Trump tells them, regardless of what the courts say. This is how it starts. God help us all.

ETA: For all of you jumping at me saying I didn't mind this when Obama was in office, just know: I've never liked Obama. I did not vote for Obama. I do not defend Obama. I'm not trying to talk about Obama. Just because someone denounces your Emperor, doesn't mean they support the opposition.

Sounds to me as though the courts are trying to legislate from the bench. Checks and balances is (finally!) working.

The courts are saying parts of the law he signed (EO) are unconstitutional. That is not legislating. It's judicial review.

Imagine a world where the government spied on your private communications at will and could kill you abroad with a drone in a country we aren't at war with without any due process whatsoever. Where one of the heads of this government accountable to no one would say callously, we came, we saw, he died.
