And have to buy insurance off obamacare exchanges? If they want it, they should have it. Some dems are going apeshit calling it extortion to force them to get obamacare.

Even if he can't he should try so everybody can see those assholes squealing about it.

Why don't you want this wonderful plan, liberal dipshit senator?

Members of congress, no.

Their staff? Yes

But that won't gain him any help. He already can't get anything through as it is

You're right. But is the Senate not complying with the order?

ETA Senate is not exempt from ObamaCare. Only ones exempt are Democrat committee staffers. Everybody else, Senators and office staff, if they choose to be insured by Federal government is on the
DC exchange.

You all realize that Members of Congress and their staffs are already on Obamacare through the DC Exchange?

The average salary for a Hill staffer is about 40K.

What's the variation? They are on the exact same ones that you would be on if you lived in DC and went on the public exchange.

Rush explained all of this today.

The staffers have 73% subsidized Cadillac plans.

Trump can and should end it.

I have a kid who worked on the Hill for 2 different congressmen. They were forced to buy the Gold plan, and they hated it. Even though he/she lived in VA.
What they contribute is a sizeable chunk of their check.

The DC exchange was supposed to be for small companies with 500 or less employees.

Fed Gov has slightly more than that.

Rules were changed over and over to protect and subsidize congressional staffers.

And Trump should end it. frick'em.

It's fairly common for employers to pay a portion of an employees premiums, is it not?

Also, they they are required to have a gold plan and cannot have platinum plans.

Sucks being forced to buy more than you want or need, right?

The staffs would love nothing more than to be able to choose from less expensive plans.
They and members Congress were on the same plan as all Federal employees. That was changed to make them buy only on the DC exchange, which is quite expensive.

It was a Republican amendment that was passed. It applies to everyone on the hill, except Democrat committee staffers, who can get on a different plan if the don't live in DC.
