If I'm being honest, I'd say folks in both camps overplayed the victim card.
The main difference: An actual news organization is claiming to be the sufferer.

Kathy Griffin is not the President. Trump is.

Here's another thing to consider. When Trump went after Vince McMahon, er, CNN, it was all scripted. This is similar. Trump might pretend he's body slamming CNN, but he owes them and the rest of the media an unpayable debt for how they covered his rise through the Republican primaries with all the airtime they gave him.

Firstly, that photo was widely condemned.

Secondly, Kathy Griffin is a C list celebrity, not an elected official. I wouldn't vote for her for dog catcher. Electing classless, unqualified, C-list celebrity idiots is a Republican thing.

- Bill Clinton...had oral sex with a young intern in the White House on multiple occasions then lied about it under oath

Dem take: "Oh he was a great President, the first black President and was simply riding dirty and fibbed about it as anyone would, no big deal."

- Donald Trump...tweets about a female news personality, negatively, in response to comparisons of him to Hitler

Dem take: "That misogynistic bastard, how dare he demean women and stoop below the dignity of being in the White House as President."

Dem take: "Well that was edgy but she is an entertainer expressing herself. We should be able to speak out strongly against the President."

Dem take: "How dare Trump encourage violence, by his brutal and irresponsible tweet of CNN. He also is showing dictatorial tendencies by deeming news outlets as fake."

Dem take: "There is no evidence of corruption."

- Donald Trump...accused of collusion with Russia with virtually no evidence and an existing "game plan" mapped out in exposed Democratic strategist emails of how the accusations would be leveled if Hillary Clinton lost the election

Dem take: "Why we know Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election. We have no idea of what actually happened and we have no evidence anything happened but there was collusion somehow and we need to investigate based on the seriousness of the allegations."

It would be comical if it wasn't so sad that people actually think this way. I have to believe many of them know how ridiculous they are and are just using this twisted logic to obstruct and be contrarian but after a certain amount of time, that is a sad state as well.

Their PLANNED strategy was to help Trump win the nomination, so that Hildebeast would coast to victory. They were crooked then, and still crooked today. They're not news, they're shills

They have played that game since Reagan got elected. Their coverage is designed to give us Dole, McCain, Romney, etc so that a community organizer could be vaulted to the office
