These people are seriously retarded.

quote:

UC
Davis senior Acacia Keith was excited to present her research on the anti-abortion movement at what would have been her first national conference this spring.

The Council on Undergraduate Research conference, which showcases work by more than 3,000 undergraduates, is considered a premier opportunity to make an academic mark and network for jobs and graduate programs. UC Davis was going to pay for Keith to travel there

quote:

But there’s a problem. The conference is being held this year at the University of Memphis in Tennessee. A new California law bans state-funded travel to states that discriminate against the LGBT community. And the California attorney general has listed Tennessee as one of them, along with Kansas, North Carolina and Mississippi

Insanity.

Can't they make an exception? Memphis is like the liberal Mecca of Tennessee. One of only 3 of our 95 counties to vote Democrat in November.

Makes me proud to be from TN - 92 of 95 counties got it right!

California progressives forcing their opinions on others? Shocker.

I wonder if they have bans on Muslim related things. You know, bc their hate views on gays and whatnot

States do not have the constitutional right to discriminate against any one. How can California keep funds while discriminating against other people?

I'm pretty sure that OM opens AT Cal next year (that is if we not get death penalty lol).
That should be one hell of a culture Clash.

I think it's called separation of church and state. Look it up.

So California can ban the use of public funds for travel of students to/from Tennessee, but the US can't temporarily ban travel from terrorist supporting parts of the world while we develop a better vetting process?

What does the 9th circuit say about that?

Damn lefties are so fricked up.... the country is being FedExed to hell and they've paid for the upgraded shipping.

I would HATE to be a college student in California right now. College years wasted on this shite and marches. Unless I was chasing an absolute 10 I can't see giving a damn. I just want to drink beer, screw college girls, and learn stuff??

Is that crazy?

These universities were put on the map of protest by protesting Vietnam. They were sick of a hopeless war. We still have soldiers dying and mired in an endless conflict. What do they protest? Where trannies make tee-tee??? W...T...F...???
