Trump Is Woody Allen Without the Humor

good read

The president’s primary problem as a leader is not that he is impetuous, brash or naive. It’s not that he is inexperienced, crude, an outsider. It is that he is weak and sniveling. It is that he undermines himself almost daily by ignoring traditional norms and forms of American masculinity.

DJT was voted as POTUS because he is a outsider.

That was the point.

Do people really still not understand that?

As I keep saying. He is his own worst enemy. He was in a position where he could have gotten quite a bit done. His own ego prevents that.

bullshite. Rinos and Democrats have a personal vendetta against him and are bound and determined to make sure that nothing gets done

This. Trump got elected on the wall, trade negotiations, jobs, and draining the swamp. People ignored (many even liked) his a-political speech because they wanted someone to get stuff done for the American people.

What the political analysts are saying is that he can't get anything done because he's not playing politics well enough. He's not playing the game (jumping into the swamp) and so no one in D.C. wants to work with him.

If our elected representatives are turning their jobs into pissing contests because their feefees are hurt by what Trump says, that's more of an indictment on them rather than Trump. They have a responsibility to us, not to their own egos.

Voting for an outsider simply because he's an outsider is pretty stupid. For every visionary outsider who's ahead of his time and thinks outside the box, there are ten outsiders who are that way because they're dysfunctional.

Woody Allen is weird as frick and a lot of his films are overrated. However, some of them are funny as hell, and a few of them are brilliant.

It's not that. He can't stay on the same page for more than a day. His staff isn't on the same page. If he is not willing or able to put in the effort to effectively manage his team, how is going to get Congress to work together to accomplish a goal of his? The swamp doesn't need to fight back, he's shown no sign of being able to drain it.

Trump is getting himself in pissing contests with his own damn side. You want senators to vote for legislation that will risk their seat, you better have the ability to inflict a cost for not doing it. A media blitz, energizing your base (which is also theirs) using his skilled salesmanship is a good way to do it. Trump hasnt shown much interest in that. His inability to provide poliical pressure means he can't sway their self interest to align with his interests.

Congress has their share of the blame here, but giving Trump a pass for his doesn't pressure him to change his behavior and approach to accomplish the goals you want him to accomplish.

He is an incredibly weak man. That so many people would look to him and think he's a strong person, an avatar of what a man should be, is a symptom of a much larger cultural problem.

Selfish, proud, dishonest, greedy. He is a gnarled and crippled human being.
