You are exposing your own ignorance. In England, Asian has a connotation of Indian/Pakistani/Middle Eastern. No one in England what think of Jet Li by default if told to picture an Asian.
Hopefully you'll use this embarrassing mistake on your part as a learning opportunity. Next time you see or read something that makes you angry, take a moment and consider if that anger may be born of your own lack of information and narrow world view before you lash out impotently. Cheers!

the common usage in the UK. Indians, Pakistanis, and Middle Easterners are referred to as Asian. Chinese, etc. are called East Asian

In the UK, Asian is used to describe people from South Asia.

but seriously, the guy i posted a picture of was fricking black. i just googled it and it's a different guy now. i didn't stick around to find out what race (or in this case continent) to blame.
