The guy has a linked in page which listed his expertise in Russian stuff and his foreign service experience and which dealt with diplomatic and business intelligence.

This hack cobbled together some 4Chan meme bullshite and turned it into oppo research that he sold for probably several hundred thousand dollars thinking he'd never see it again. Next thing you know the next President is told about it and Buzzfeed is publishing it. Ooopppps.
