You said you agreed with the link, yet you're not grasping fundamental aspects of it... which is odd.
The reason he gave the slavery analogy was to get a point across that would hopefully resonate with the listeners. In the 1700s a farmer could not even grasp the notion of a giant machine picking it's cotton. If you told him that only 5% of people would farm as opposed to 90%, he wouldn't know what to think.. the point is you can't really apply today's framework into this type of forward thinking. I don't really think the speaker is talking about the U.S being the only country without a government, this would be a species wide awakening and elevation of consciousness.
