It takes more that a few tweets to reform a religion. Imam Tawhidi and others like him should be leading an Islamic Reformation not unlike the Protestant Reformation that occurred in the 16th Century.

Good for this man. Islam needs reformation, and it seems men like this need to lead the charge. Thank you for holding your community accountable. Islam will only be changed from within, and we need to prop up men like him.

So if this guy is going to start picking up steam in the US, we should be aware of who he is. A quick search brought THIS up. Disclaimer: it's an ABC opinion article, and her bias is clear. But beyond the bias, the accusations don't paint a pretty picture
I love seeing Imams speaks out publicly about troubles starting in their community, but they also need to be real Imams for it to matter. Is anyone familiar with this guy? Any insight into whether or not he's legit?
