At any point in your life, were you a liberal?

It seems that most of these protesters are young folks...college-aged. Sure, there are some old ones (hippies) out there and some old 'alt lifestyle folks', but it seems a majority of people grow out of these 'pie in the sky' ideas with age.
I suppose the closest I ever came to being a liberal was in my early 20s, but even then I would have been considered right of center by most libs.
