President Trump claimed Friday that House conservatives previously opposed to ObamaCare replacement legislation moving through the chamber are now on board after “changes” were made – an assertion that could be put to the test as early as next week.

quote:

We are doing some incredible things … I am 100 percent behind this,” Trump said, before looking around the room and saying: “All of these no’s, or potential no’s, are all yes’es. Every single person sitting in this room is now a yes.”

quote:

Still, the leader of the conservative House Freedom Caucus -- whose members want to curb Medicaid, reduce a new tax credit and eliminate requirements on insurers – said earlier there's been little give from House leaders.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., said the only change leaders might be willing to make was imposing an optional work requirement on some recipients of Medicaid, which helps finance health coverage for the poor. He said he believes they have not agreed to quickly phase out an expansion of Medicaid, another conservative demand.

Although were not there yet, we may end up with a decent bill just yet.

Bonus points for the ensuing Dem melts on the work requirement.

Bust then because it won't pass in the current climate. So you get a choice then of Obamacare staying as it is and the GOP getting destroyed in the Mid Terms and losing the rest of Trump's agenda or repealing Obamacare with no replacement and the GOP still getting destroyed in the Midterms and losing the rest of Trump's agenda.

Or you can get the best bill possible passed now and get more wins in the Mid Terms and continue to make reforms moving gradually toward Paul's or Cruz's type of plan (which I agree is FAR superior).

absolutely support this...

no joke, no troll... i've actually been saying this exact same thing for a long time... i have no problem with assisting people as long as they are also putting into the pot, not just taking out... severe mental and/or physical disabilities the only exception, of course... and to be deemed disabled, IMO, it should take at minimum 3 independent MD reviews, and if at point an MD is found to be fraudulent in their diagnosis of disabled person, they lose their license for life.... would really make them think twice about it, for sure....

Abdolutr agreement = get rid of the hammock riders.

If you are able bodied, find a way to support yourself - or at least make yourself useful to those who are supporting you.

To hell with all this free shite just because some dead head is lazy or too caught up in the thug life. Let em get hungry and they will find some work - if they are too stupid to do that then let em die and we'll hires someone to sweep them off the streets at night.

WTF does this mean? It creates a requirement such that work is optional for Medicaid dregs?

Well ... pretty easy to know what option they'd take.
