quote:

“The country—we took it over and owed over $20 trillion. As you know the last eight years, they borrowed more than it did in the whole history of our country. So they borrowed more than $10 trillion, right? And yet, we picked up $5.2 trillion just in the stock market,” Trump told Sean Hannity. “So you could say, in one sense, we’re really increasing values. And maybe in a sense, we’re reducing debt. But we’re very honored by it,” he said. It was not clear whether Trump understood that the stock market and federal debt levels are not in any way connected.

It must really suck for your entire purpose in life to be to tear down, demonize and negate another human being.

Except that if the stock market is good, reinvestment is good, thus creating more jobs, which results in more taxes paid in to pay down the debt.

One could make an argument that improvements in our economy lessen the impact of our debt load.

The economy of the country has absolutely zero connection to the debt of that country

That is some interesting analysis there

In the sense that national asset value increases at a faster rate than national debt it follows that rising asset values will lead to higher GDP which will reduce the GDP to debt ratio.

That's not what he said. Trying to turn that into fact only makes you look stupid...but most commies aren't exactly bright when it comes to economies...so maybe the shoe fits.

That's what the POTUS was alluding to. He reiterated once again that the companies that left the U.S. due high tax burdens would soon be coming home, along with their trillions of dollars to infuse into our economy.

FRICK THEM! Let them have their commie, socialist fun.

Isn't Paul Krugman a big champion of this general notion with regard to the national debt?

Somehow propping up Wall Street furthers his anti-establishment charade. At some point I would hope the Trumpophants would grow up and see the truth.

But Obamabots never did, so I hold out little hope.

Nothing ever changes.
