re: AP Story: Do Blacks support Obama b/c he's black?

The problem is that a lot of young black people are more racist than their parents. It's a problem that's getting worse, not better. They blame their lot in life on white people holding them down, not that they work, finished school or went to college, they just blame white people because it's an easy to point at the "rich" guy and say "he's keeping all the money for himself".

And you know this because of the extensive amount of time you have spent interviewing young black people?

why not just graduate from high school, take out a loan for college, graduate and get a job to fit your degree like others do?

Because that makes sense

That's exactly my point, how many white folks do you say this to? You don't know what I have and you never asked, just assumptions.

I'm not busting your chops I'm simply trying to explain how my friends got jobs and a career. I don't have any unemployed friends or friends that didn't graduate from high school and statistics show there is a disparity in this regard between the races..and that's unfortunate.

How many white folks do I say this to? Are you serious? I don't care if you are black, white, pink or purple. This is my belief and has nothing to do with race. Why do you continue to harp on that? It is the way things are meant to be in this country. Work your way up the ladder and make it. How do you interject race in that is beyond me?

Not injecting anything just asking a question just like you did.

If you haven't graduated from college I would recommend applying for a grant or scholarship and look at your options so you can control your own future as race shouldn't prevent you from attaining any of your goals in 2012.

You responded to this
quote:

why not just graduate from high school, take out a loan for college, graduate and get a job to fit your degree like others do?

with this...

What did I say that had anything to do with race? I am not talking about the title of the thread. I am talking about you responding to and quoting me.

The fact that blacks continue to vote Democrats into office with the promise of everything but the return of nothing as a result of the loyalty is proof enough of the ignorance they possess. You seem to have a dose of it yourself.

I don't take this paternalistic attitude towards Blacks, like other Whites ,as if they 'truly' expect their lives to change because they vote for Obama or Romney.

The Democratic party has giving Blacks no more nor less than the GOP has given Whites from the Deep South.

Fact is 90% Blacks voted for the very White John Kerry & Al Gore.

Obama gets 90% of the Black vote therefore Blacks are voting solely based on Race.

The idiocy is astounding

The absolute idiocy on this board is astounding

Ever since white people decided to let black people vote, they've voted overwhelmingly democrat.

Now that they vote for black president that happens to be a democrat, they're only voting for him b/c he's black. It's sheer stupidity on the people who think this.

Now, if Obama was a Republican and all of a sudden blacks started voted Republican, then you'll have a point. Until then, you have no argument

re: AP Story: Do Blacks support Obama b/c he's black?
Yes and no.

They support him politically primarily because he's a Dem.

An even higher percentage than normal voted for him because he is black.

They lose their fricking minds when someone "strays" because he's black (see Stacey Dash).

So isn't it just as bad/racist/stupid when your grandmother says that you should never trust a person whose skin color is white?

Maybe those people were taught by their grandparents to never trust a black person.
