I've always wondered about the credibility of these claims.

BREAKING NEWS: Man trips over rock and splits head open and dies.
BREAKING NEWS part 2: ISIS says rocks have converted to Islam months ago.

And the sheople follow along dutifully with their newfound hatred towards rocks.

The establishment will direct its mouthpiece media to tell you exactly what they want you to believe about this horrific event....And you will.

Just out of curiosity, do you have any links to ISIS claiming responsibility where it was proven they had no direct or indirect involvement?
They claimed what turned out to be a very violent casino robbery in the Philippines a few months back

I too am skeptical of this claim, but go read pretty much anyone who focuses their career on ISIS, and they'll tell you the same - the idea ISIS will officially claim responsibility for any incident is not true at all

ISIL will claim responsibility for attacks they had no practical involvement with. Considering the situation that ISIL finds itself in right now, they need all the press they can get.

quote:

"The way they issue claims mixes and mingles different types of operations," he said. Groups of ISIS-trained operatives have carried out ISIS-planned bombings. ISIS handlers in Raqqa, Syria, have guided untrained people in Europe through online communications. And at the far end of the spectrum, there are "lone wolf" attacks planned and carried out independently, based on ISIS propaganda.

"You can have somebody who had no direct ties to ISIS whatsoever, at least that we're aware of — someone who was inspired by the Islamic State but not actually directed by them at all," Joscelyn said.

The attackers responsible for mass shootings in San Bernardino, Calif., and Orlando, Fla., for instance, were claimed by ISIS though they appeared to have no direct ties to the group.

ISIS is equally willing to claim them all. The distinction seems to make no difference.

NPR what does it mean when ISIS claims credit for an attack

If ISIL was involved then they would most likely take simple steps to make that claim credible. Pre recorded statements / video or trademark and signatures etc. If they aren't involved then you will see a lot of vague bullshite and no hard evidence.

The ISIS connection would explain why he was able to obtain so many weapons of the type he had.

Las Vegas PD said she is his girlfriend

She is overseas, but has already been interviewed by FBI, and supposedly cleared.

Within reason, they will claim anything that will give them attention. Attention is what they really need right now.

They can say this guy converted because proving a negative is much difficult

I don't agree with that assessment. Latin American cartels are more likely to be the source than ISIL.

Why would the AP even report that bullshite?

Let’s see:

Door 1: Leftist antifa nut targeting trump supporters
Door 2: isis

They kinda have to push door 2 before door 1 becomes the narrative

Maybe the CIA simply hasn't had to time to produce them yet?

Just do your patriotic duty and keep ISIL in mind as prime suspects.

Even if he did convert to ISIS months ago, I have a hard time attributing a mass shooting by a 60+ year old white guy to radical Islam. Probably just a crazy loon looking for a way to make himself be more of an a-hole when he already had plans to commit mass murder.

Extremely rare they claim attacks without a loyalty or ideological connection, however. A lot of claims obviously relate to people who claim motivation or adherence to IS but who have never been in direct contact.

If you to distinguish between planning/involvement and pledges of loyalty or online radicalization by a crazy guy, I think that's legit. But that doesn't impact that a considerable number of IS-claimed attacks (legitimate ones) didn't have direct ties.

Sorry YA. The woman allegedly associated with the shooter had posted a pic from Dubai last year . Nothing substantive.

Yeah I mean it's not like Islam has many recent ties to violence except for the 3 different terrorist attacks yesterday in Edmonton, Marseilles, and Las Vegas

A trip to Dubai adds about .000000000001% more likelihood of ISIS affiliation. Internet history and emails will be the key if he is affiliated.
