The problem this time around is that LSU has a cuck SJWish President in FuKing Alexander. He could well acquiesce.

I know you guys have been hoping and praying that someone would try to change the Tiger's nickname for a long time so that you can have another thing to bitch about to justify your victim complex. I hate to disappoint you, but it's not happening.

Oh look, on just page three, here comes a Proggie to prove Pimp's post on page one to be correct.

quote:

The Tigers are not named after a confederate unit. Louisiana volunteer units have used the nickname "Tigers" since well before and well after the civil war. Our tiger logo (not toonces, but the real logo) is based on the logo of the Battalion Washington Artillery. That logo was for sure in use for the Mexican American War well before the civil war (and probably long before that too).

Correct. However, Andrew Jackson didn't fight in the Civil War, yet....

See, that's the funny thing about your ilk. Facts do not matter. Just what the brainwashed masses you lead believe.

Just like "White Hispanic" and "Hands up, don't shoot", no lie is too big to tell to meet the end goal.

The statues are just the beginning. While I do laugh at this notion for LSU, nothing surprises me anymore (another ode to Pimp's post).

They looked pretty tough when the monuments were being taken down. Where were you again? Sitting in your house maybe?

Not being crafty. Not picking on you either. Just having some fun.

I just think it sucks that what you or I may think or believe does not matter when someone starts throwing out the word racist.

I hate to agree but you are right. If certain people got behind this and they received the financial backing to raise enough hell, things could get shaky very quickly.

Logic and reason cannot be used with these people.

While I'm sure the OP made this himself, let's just say we do use some reason.

Change Tigers to Bayou Bengals.

There. It's still a tiger and not a confederate one.

Plus, separates us from Auburn and Mizzou

I knew it was coming. How about a change to the LSU Rainbow Zebras?

I still think the LSU Swampers would be badass. Black and green uniforms. Before they run out on the field, turn off the lights. Have swamps sounds across the speakers with a creepy music in the background. Then you hear Coach O say "Re Ru Roo Ra Geux Swampers!" Lights come on, and the Swampers take the field.

Didn't someone on this board predict this a while back?

It's an easy prediction to make. Every school, street, city, and state name will be attacked and many totally benign institutions will suddenly be scrutinized. And SJWs will never be satisfied. And liberals will keep justifying the SJWs.

You're assuming PC/SJW types are historically literate.

Everytime slippery slope gets brought up progs try to shame into saying "youre a paranoid bigot".....then just a few years later when the slippery slope comes true? The next step down the line is "the last one we promise anything past that is ridiculous but you are a bigot for wanting to stop this little step of progress"

The problem is when some spineless arse hat feeds these useless idiots then all of the sudden they think their stupid arse opinions matter and its off the the races as to what idiotic thing the will come up with next to be offended by.

Sad, gone are the days when we could just kick the living shite out of these little queefs and they would get the hint to modify their stupid arse behavior.

It doesn't, it's never enough for these people

"Will never happen" and "You're just being paranoid" turns into "Get with the times" and "You're a racist!"

Maybe if LSU drops Tigers they could get a lucrative sponsorship from Kool cigarettes.
