I'd prolly go with 17th or Section 1 of the 14th.

Plus, I wish the 10th was actually effective.

Hope so, GT23 makes a great argument about his least favorite Amendment.

17th and 19th.

17th made the senate redundant and is just another house of representatives representing entire states, is a smaller body and has 6 year terms.

19th made the government into big daddy provider of social benefits that is collectively fricking us up the arse. Women instinctively vote for security and benefits and that's too expensive now and made the government into a police state.

There's no question: the 17th amendment. It took representation of the states out of the federal government and replaced it with representation of population centers (e.g. big cities).

16th.

The amount of social engineering that goes on through the tax code is fricking insane...not to mention it's flat out theft.

section 1 of the 14th.

Without Section 1, none of the Bill of Rights are applied to the states, or at least not clearly applied. The Due Process Clause of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment is the vehicle in which the Bill of Rights have been applied to the states.

The day that ambassadors for state governments in the district of columbia disappeared was the day that a whole lot of liberty and freedom died.

I remember him saying that he went to some military school (it was a mixed gender class) and everyone had to pick a daily topic of discussion that was military related. When it came to his turn he talked about how having women in the military was a horrible policy

I was specifically referring to the jus soli provision of citizenship.

Man, that's a pretty sweeping amendment.

I was reading a list of the so-called greatest amendments...

and the Fifth Amendment was in the teens...

The Fourth was barely in the Top 10...

And the First was not even in the Top 5...

But was behind...the 19th and 15th amendments.

I would've loved to see how that went over with the women there.

Bet he still got plenty of poon though from them.

Technically this has never been settled by SCOTUS or congress. It has never been challenged in court (there have been similar cases and as I recall something about one of the justices footnotes). The executive branch of both parties for many decades have just assumed birthright citizenship.

I kind of remember this debate during the primaries. Ted Cruz was caught taking the side of birthright citizenship before the primaries and took the position against during the primaries.
