I don't "want" Pence in office, but Trump is all those things, plus incompetent, plus crooked, plus either personally compromised by Russia or at least surrounding himself with people that are compromised Russia.
No one should get a pass on impeachable offenses just because they selected a bad running mate. If Trump is impeached, and then Pence does something impeachable behind him, the right thing to do would be to impeach him too. But I doubt he will. And beyond that, he wouldn't push the Muslim ban or half the other shite on Trump's ridiculous agenda.

Trump is also something that the left can't control. The people rejected the Left's twisted agenda and they're still reeling from the defeat. They simply can't allow people to start thinking for themselves so they'll attack Trump relentlessly. What they don't understand is if they push too far there's somebody much worse than Trump coming down the pike.
