Alex Jones, Prison Planet and the lack of validity
Posted by kcon70 on 4/7/17 at 7:33 pm26
Can anyone provide an example of truth provided to us by this bunch?
Not regurgitated from other outlets but unique reporting.

At least David Icke shows some restraint in his explanations

Has anyone found a GREAT news outlet yet? I haven't.
Everyone should educate theirselves on issues by listening to many outlets. Then you should be able to figure out who is right on what subject. Who is lying through their teeth. And who you can trust more... not entirely but more than the other guy.

quote:Well there may not exist a single "great" outlet, but the best outlets all have journalists who are consistently honest, thorough, objective, and treat their profession with integrity by attempting to he as unbiased as unbiased as possible. The problem is that the organizations that the work for their biases, which diminishes their "greatness." It's still honest journalism, just a bias in what is covered and how it's covered.

Alex Jones represents the complete opposite of "great journalism" besides maybe "passion," although that passion appears more consistent with a passionate professional wrestler than a passionate professional in any field that purports honesty.
So I agree that one should use many sources, from different perspectives, in search of the objective truth. For example, I think it's great that of people use the National Review & Washington Examiner on the right, NYT on the left, The Economist from a unique perspective altogether, and so on and so forth.
But that doesn't mean every source will get one to the truth, and in this caseis using Alex Jones is a prime example of a source that leads one away from the truth. He's an entertainer playing a part, nothing more and nothing less.
