Calling the American news media "fake news" may feel good to some. It may energize the base. But it's bad for our democracy. LINK

Zero self awareness.

Acosta and his cohorts take no responsibility for their bias and inaccuracies.

Working for a news outlet that leaks a debate question to a Presidential candidate before the debate is also bad for our democracy.

It does raise an interesting hypothetical about the future of an informed electorate when news or information that doesn't comport to your worldview can easily be dismissed as fake news and that is acceptable to society as a whole.

I worry it means we'll just bury deeper and deeper into our own little intellectual holes and common ground will be much harder to find.

Yeah, we have a populous who ignore the media ( their fault) and elected someone the media told us not too...Could it be cause they ignored all the crimes Hillary committed and covered for her? Could it be that Americans see the bias in their coverage? The media has no one to blame but themselves, and that's a fact!

Interesting hypothetical but we're currently living in a very real situation with a misinformed electorate.

Acosta likes being the one who holds Trump accountable but doesn't think it's good for a democracy for anyone to hold him accountable.

The leftist intelligentsia has been pushing the "no objective truth" mantra for decades. This sort of battle for what's true and what isn't has laid bare that they didn't believe it. They just wanted to be in control of truth. When someone attacks "their truth" with a stronger narrative, they don't shrug their shoulder and say, "well, there's no real truth." They stamp their foot and whine that "the other guy" is lying.

frick em. They're being shot with their own gun.

Or news that is easily proven false which requires a retraction at a later date.

Tell me about all the media outlets you regularly seek out that "don't comport with your worldview."
