Y'all need to pull it together. All this melting is sad. The Ryan bill was garbage and needed to die. Better nothing get passed now than that.

When you have a majority and the president on your side of the aisle, anything you fail to get done implies support for the status quo.
As long as Obamacare is the law of the land and the administration and congress do nothing to stop it, it is their disaster too.

What would the AHCA actually fixed from Obamacare?
You keep pre-existing condition coverage but get rid of the thing designed to slow the death spiral.
What happens next? The death spiral is still there and maybe just comes faster.

Dems have been trying to make changes to Obamacare for years but they didn't have the votes. They will run on the platform of "vote for us and we will fix Obamacare." What will Republicans run on? "Vote for us and we will fail and give up after three months"?
The changes Dems want may or may not be good but they can look at voters in the eyes and say that when given power they will actually do something.

Nothing, which is the point.
Going forward, every day that Obamacare is the law of the land is due to inaction from Republicans/Trump. That is the part that pisses me off to no end.

At least they are trying to do this through the legislative process. The Dems violated the Constitution by starting it in the Senate and using reconciliation to ram the thing thru at the midnight hour.

They should just repeal it to what was in place before the ACA, then work on the replacement as a separate piece of legislation. That makes too much sense, though, and cucks want the bullshite pre-existing conditions shite.
