Pretty sure any American (and pretty much any non-American) can comment on what they think should be going on in the government. Even if they're sleeping with the prez. Good Morning America isn't obligated to do anything but present "stories" which means that there's a segment producer behind it who edited it to go down a particular way for a particular reason, to suit a particular audience, just like they do every other story. GMA is a frickin TV ladies magazine.
