Fascinating story from the Golden Triangle area of Mississippi. Just aired on 60 Minutes.

I thought about posting here, but decided not to. This guy is great. My family moved to Columbus in 1989 when it was just about to start ticking downward. The city fell hard as factories left, the public school basically became a Delta school, and the city hit record low employment. I am so happy to see these types of middle class and upper-middle class jobs coming back along that 82 transit between Columbus and Starkville.

Definitely a positive note on individualism and capitalism as liberal, progressive economics had failed. Columbus' mayor the last decade has been the corrupt, liberal Robert Smith. He has done nothing and is just a ward lord and womanizer. Glad to see someone with the hindsight and courage to break through!

Watched the episode earlier.

Trump needs to make a visit (if nothing else to get some good Southern comfort food)

Yeah that was a good story. Pretty quick fellow to crank out those solutions to get companies to come in.

The mayor of Columbus wanting a new movie theater when this guy is bringing in these high tech jobs to one of the poorest areas of the country is telling.

That's whats wrong with small town Mississippi (and Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas). We think too small. They hire a guy to bring in jobs to an area with 20% unemployment and they are thinking movie theater. This guy was thinking steel plants, helicopter plants, etc. and had to beg to have the infrastructure built.

People in our country just need to put down the drugs and the social media devices ... and get back to believing in good 'ole fashioned HARD WORK.

They have to TRULY BELIEVE that through hard work, dedication, etc ... that their lives and the lives of their loved ones ... CAN and WILL IMPROVE.

This belief is the sort of thing that Dems/Libs have robbed so many of....all for the purpose of creating the new-era slave living on G scraps ... and pulling the D lever.
