Japan Prepares For North Korea "Emergency"

I suppose it's in the best interest of all surrounding nations to have a contingency.

In all seriousness, my heart goes out to people in Japan and South Korea. I can't imagine how nervous (and somewhat helpless) people in those two countries feel right now.

Imagine if Mexico had a nuclear weapon and a psycho running the country.

Agreed. I couldn't imagine that either. We, living here in the USA are very fortunate.

Two rational leaders diffused that crisis.

I'd venture a guess this is worse. Khrushchev was not insane. He knew what he and his country stood to lose as soon as either side hit that button. So did Kennedy.

Kim Jong Un is not rational and is grossly deluded into thinking he can stand toe-to-toe with the US in an armed conflict.

I'm not really a huge proponent of US intervention, but in this scenario, I'm all for some Special Ops team to take him out before he kills hundreds of thousands of innocent people because of his own hubris.

Japon's rape and murderous rule of Korea likely lead the the Sun God's rise & rebellion and, thus, North Korea. They helped create this monster. I feel no pity for them.

Edited to prevent slander charges from Jason

Japan is either the 2nd or 3rd greatest country in the world depending on if Merkel wins reelection.
