They have had 3 chances at statehood. that is not what they want. HAMAS is a jihadist movement. Not nationalist. Read their charter for crying out loud.
This has nothing to do with our country. It is not our problem and we do not have the solution. That is a FACT. The best thing the United States can do at this point is distance ourselves from anything and everything politically in the Middle East. People are getting tired of this shite.
Going after Osama Bin Laden was a worthy endeavor IMO but I honestly believe our greatest threat lies within our own political process and economic structure. We have allowed so many extraneous entities to overshadow the authority of our own people in regard to decisions affecting our domestic and foreign policies that it has become parasitic.
This crap in the Middle East has absolutely nothing to do with our nation's self-preservation, and will only lead to our destruction if we continue to take sides on Middle East issues and around the world. It's what has gotten us into all this crap in the first place.
I have absolutely nothing against the country of Israel, the Arab nations, or any other country. Furthermore, I truly believe they have no business trying to influence our decisions regarding anything. Any American who believes another country is critical or vital to our continued existence in the world can go live there as far as I'm concerned, but I'm just one voice.
I do believe we need our military at home, in a defensive sense, and only fight abroad if only absolutely necessary. Our inflexible alliance with Israel, or completely blind commitment to any other country besides our own for that matter, is of no more benefit to us than the people on the moon, yet perhaps detrimental.
