This is one of those gotcha phrases social conservatives toss out that they don't realize make them look stupid to anyone outside their church, like something from a Kirk Cameron movie.

Show as much pride in your faith in your personal life as you want. Build a 200 foot cross on your church grounds. Blare out the Lord's Prayer at 150db 24/7. IDGAS.

Just stop asking, nay demanding, that my tax dollars pay for it.

I bet you believe that phrase is actually in our Constitution, don't you?

Another atheist proving that believing in nothing is actually believing in something.

Jean-Paul Sartre says hello...

So you have no problem with crosses etc on public land if they have been the result of donations?

Which one do you think is misinterpreted the most by the left?
The meaning of the separation clause or the misapplication of the free speech ammendment in the first?

Atheists believe we come from nothing, mean nothing and were going nowhere.

Given the recent NFL kneeling controversy, I'd call it about neck-and-neck.

Both BoR issues give them ample opportunity to show their asses.

Not in the Constitution. An opinion of Jefferson in a letter also containing this:
quote:

I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection and blessing of the common Father and Creator of man,

Not really a hoorah for atheism, huh?

Atheists think they're being persecuted when in fact Christians face far more persecution. They take down our holy monuments and won't let us celebrate our holidays

How dare the government recognize anything religious even if they are not establishing a religion that the citizens are forced to adhere to!

It's that whole constitutional "free exercise thereof" that you always seem to forget about.

Then why do many people vote at churches like I do? I see more wrong with that than a statue if we're talking separation here.

I vote in a church and I say a prayer in the face of every pussy hat wearing SJW that comes in.

Well, we don't have SJWs in our voting precinct but I would. Damn it.

I got Yankees beside me and an older single mom behind me. The Yanks, they have adapted after their 20 year stay here. The single mom and her 30 year-old divorced daughter living together - they're a lost cause. So, that's four out of six of us that knows what's going on.
