Actually, there's nothing genetic at all about being gay. . . But that's a topic for another thread.
I'll have to disagree there - certainly there must be an inborn component of it. Everyone has certain urges. Gays and lesbians obviously have innate urges as I do not believe sexuality is fully learned behavior.
The questions are - how much control does one have over what urges one is born with? As long as it is 2 consenting adults, ultimately, who is harmed by the behavior?
I'm getting more and more libertarian (not "libertine"
) on the issue as I get older. Live and let live, as long as everybody behaves appropriately in public and around children
. (And, honestly, that's not tied in any way to sexuality - I don't want a heterosexual couple all over each other around young children, either.)
