Hopefully this thread can hang around for two more years... feel free to update your entries as your thoughts and circumstances change.

MJ's prediction: Right now I say it's 50/50 that we even have a 2016 Presidential election.

Quoting this now so that if I have to update the OP in the future, my prediction will not be tainted.

They will allow as many illegals needed to get voting rights and win. The fix is in.

Really too early for anything but speculative guesses.

Hillary has a real problem in that she's been wrong on literally every major issue she's had to weigh in on - foremost being the Iraq War. Warren has better liberal bona fides.

Romney would likely walk to a GOP nomination if he decides to run - but what a dilemma. Does he put his ambition/love for his country first, or does he consider his poor wife who desperately didn't want him to run last time and make her go through the gauntlet with him AGAIN? Seems like a horrible decision to make.

My predictions

Democratic Nominee - Hillary survives a rocky path and wins the nomination

Republican Nominee - Mitt Romney ultimately decides not to run, and Chris Christie battles it out with Jeb Bush in one of the more epic nomination battles ever. Christie's "real man" persona wins the day over Jeb's polished centrist schtick and in the general election…

Hillary Clinton over Chris Christie
She carries New Jersey and most of the swing states for a comfortable electoral vote margin, but the popular vote is amazingly close with Hillary eeking it out by under 1 million.

I just can't think what this country will be like with another Clinton in charge.

Centuries from now, scientists will declare the Great Unravelling was first forecast by a Louisacorndog scribe known only to his followers as "Meauxjeaux."

With a divided congress, I can handle a Clinton presidency.

Still saying Obama will not relinquish the reigns.

ETA: by divided, I meant divided from the executive... D in exec, R in both legis. I know that's not what divided congress usually means, so there's my clarification.

What did you not like about the Clinton years, the peace or the prosperity?

It's statements like this that brand you as one of the right-wing loons. And it's "reins" not "reigns".

Clinton/Kaine

vs

Romney/Ayotte

50/50 race at the moment but still a lot of time for circumstances to change. For there not to be an election, probably take alien invasion. I think the person most looking forward to the election is obama so he can go on full time vacation come 2017.
