In a major upcoming Supreme Court case that weighs equal rights with religious liberty, the Trump administration on Thursday sided with a Colorado baker who refused to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple.
The Department of Justice on Thursday filed a brief on behalf of baker Jack Phillips, who was found to have violated the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act by refusing to created a cake to celebrate the marriage of Charlie Craig and David Mullins in 2012. Phillips said he doesn’t create wedding cakes for same-sex couples because it would violate his religious beliefs."
"The DOJ also has taken the stance that gay workers are not entitled to job protections under federal anti-discrimination laws. Since 2015, the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission has taken the opposite stance, saying Title VII, the civil-rights statute that covers workers, protects against bias based on sexual orientation."

It's funny to watch.
Asurob1 may be one of them.
He always had a hard on for bakers refusing to obey the gays.

I hope one of the justices asks if a black bakery should have to make a KKK cake or a Jewish baker have to make a NeoNazi cake or an Islamic Baker have to make an Israel Forever Cake or a gay baker make a cake for the Family Research Council, and watch them try to squirm their way out of that one.
If we're gonna have forced accommodation, then it has to apply equally.

I never understood the need to demand a private business provide a service for you

Well it was always stupid to punish the cakemaker.
This wasn't a commerce clause issue.
It wasn't like people didn't have other choices.
It wasn't like it interferred with interstate travel like the South banning black people from motels and hotels. Or barring black people from food establishments.

All this means is perverted behavior will no longer be imposed as a right to anything you want. All they need do is find another baker.
Same thing with EEOC. If I don't want these people working amongst my work force because I believe them to be distraction that causes loss of efficiency, then why should I employ them.
Lastly, male parts into female parts and not other male parts.
But what do I know.

You have no evidence to be so sure of that with a conservative SCOTUS, even with Kennedy being as moderate as he is.
shrug.
I will love the chaos...remember when all you dumbasses were sure that that conservative court was going to kill Obamacare...and then it didn't.
I do.

They also voted to allow companies like Hobby Lobby to deny abortion coverage to women under ObamaCare for religious reasons and Kennedy was the swing vote in favor of that decision.

Good, I don't like Muslims and now I don't have to serve them.
