Saban winning with Shula's players
Posted by Uranus Jones on 9/29/08 at 6:52 am00
That's the only possible explanation, isn't it? Will we be hearing this crap incessantly like we have here for the past 3 years?

I was going to start a post with the exact same comment. In fact, I will be saying this everytime a Bama fan brags about their wins. If I had to hear it for a few years, then payback is going to be a bitch.

No he wont for 2 reasons:
1. He coaches at BAMA
2. He is Nick Saban.
I have been saying since week one BAMA looks like the best team in the west and I still believe that today. What Saban did didn't take a genius coach to figure out. He took a good QB in JPW who made a lot of dumb mistakes and fixed them. He added a few more playmakers on offense and then surd up the Defense a little. He has the same situation Meyer had at UF his first year. He has a good senior QB and good talent he inherited and you add that to Saban being a great builder of a program and this is the result.
This is why I buy into the BAMA hype this year but NOT the "Bear" domination over an extended period of time like BAMA fans think. Next year who will be BAMA's QB?

This argument only applies to Les Miles! He is still winning with Saban's player (Kirston Pittman)!

True, I guess it was stolen from the Alabama fighting Sabans fans.

I along with at least 50 other GERMANS have posted this for a while now and we were probably Germans when we posted it too.

Ya, the jury is still out on him. We will need to wait 4 years like we did with Miles, before we can give him any credit or see if he can win with his own players in the much contested recruiting area that Bama has. His one season recruiting success does not seem to be holding up as well this year.

Not on the offensive line, which happens to be the strength of that football team.
