What has been the experiences of those who have been moved to seats in the NEW Alex Box ?

Was the New Seats similar to your Old ones? Did you have any options when the ticket office called ? And are you a member of taf ?

It would be nice to know some facts about the experiences we so far have had and see if anyone got shafted by the all mighty dollar (taf).

Thanks

Well, after watching zero games at the new Box, I must say that my viewing experiences there do not compare to my viewing experiences in the past.

Got all my bleacher seats upgraded to grandstand & together, so I'm very happy with it.

We've had (2) season tickets for 15 years in the left field bleachers directly behind the bullpen. My mom got them for us when I was in middle school. I requested an upgrade to the grandstand and submitted the paperwork on time. I haven't heard a single thing from the office. We called and they said they got busy with football, hurricanes, etc. I'm starting to get pretty worried to be honest.

Except for a few single seats, there are no longer any grandstand seats available in the new stadium. Check newalexbox.net. Unless you want to spend the $ for purple seats, your best hope will be to upgrade to better bleacher seats.

I am thrilled with my seats at the new box. The ticket office did a great job with the relocation from people around me at the old box.

Everyone that I have talked to seemed happy.

they did go by :

1st - Location.
2nd - Taf Priority Points!
3rd - Taf Priority Points!
4th - Taf Priority Points!
5th - Seat Availability.

Sounds funny , but its reality

I guess ...

I will let you know when I hear from them. No word as of yet....season tickets since 1997 season. No TAF priority because not a football season ticket holder.

Question...did they "preposition" your seats and then offer upgrades...in other words, do I already have seats, just not aware of where they are? So many on the seating chart show unavailable already, that was why I wondered. And what is up with all the single seats...it would seem like they would have done what they could to avoid that happening

There will be purple seats availablw when they call you. You will get an e-mail a few days before the call giving you a heads-up.

everything at LSU, for good or bad, is done with TAF points. Like it or not, thats life. Got tickets on 3rd base side. upgraded from L6, No problems at all. If you don't get in TAF, most of the time, you will get whats left over. thats life.

I know that is how they do it but it actually sucks because they then show they are rewarding the monetary donors instead of the fans. They gave no preferential treatment to people that were actually attending games since they can see who has attended baseball games for the last however many years they have tracked attendance (by scanning tickets). I never liked the abritrary (as I saw it) 3 years that they set for the cutoff - season ticket holders for more than 3 years, less than 3 years.

I know in the long run, it is all about the money. I can't wait to see how empty the EXPENSIVE donation seats end up. They will have a hard time selling those.
